Kids in the UK will have another alternative to the Asus Eee netbook starting next month called the Fizzbook. The Fizzbook is definitely a kid-focused computer including kid friendly software and is built to withstand the punishment kids can dish out.

The little computer is splashproof, shockproof, and can withstand drops, kicks and other abuse commonly dished out to the things children own. The computer will run on Windows XP and will be available in two models starting in September in the UK.

The lower-cost version has a 7-inch screen and features 512MB of RAM, 4GB of flash storage, Wi-Fi connectivity, and uses the Intel Atom processor. This version will retail for £199. A more expensive version will feature an 8.9-inch screen and uses the same processor, adding 1GB of RAM and increasing storage to 30GB as well as adding a Webcam. Pricing for the upper-level model is unknown.
