MSI is revamping its line of Wind netbooks with the addition of a new screen size. The original wind had a 10-inch screen and the new MSI Wind has an 8.9-inch screen. Despite the smaller screen size, the new Wind has the same chassis.

That would mean a larger keyboard and should mean lower cost than the original. The netbook doesn’t use Windows, which will be an issue for some users. The 8.9-inch screen Wind runs SUSE Linux and uses the same 80GB HDD as the original.

The 8.9-inch Wind will sell for £269 including VAT. The 10-inch U100 Wind also gets a new 120GB HDD and a pink case option for £329.
