Rock Band 2 For Xbox 360 Launches Sept. 14th

Harmonix and EA announced today that Rock Band 2 will hit store shelves for the Xbox 360 on September 14th. Versions of the game for other consoles, including the PS3 will be available in October. The new wireless drum kit will hit stores later in the week.

The game allows the importation of most every song from the original game, including DLC tracks. New features include online world tour, Battle of the Bands, auto-calibration for the TV, wireless drums with quieter velocity sensitive heads and support for up to 3 cymbals. Advanced voice detection technology is also integrated. One nice mode for beginners is a no fail mode.

The week of September 14th the game for Xbox 360 will launch at $59.99, the wireless drum kit will retail for $89.99, and the wireless guitar for $69.99. Mad Catz will also be shipping a wireless bass guitar controller for the Xbox 360 that can be used for Bass or lead guitar play. Ion will also be shipping its premium ION Drum Rocker drum kit.
