Despite the fact that the year isn’t over, the iPhone 3G has been voted gadget of the year by readers of Stuff magazine. Other nominees for the title included the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii Fit, and the B&W Zeppelin.

The editors chose their own gadget of the year and that award went to the Asus Eee PC. According to the editors the Eee helped usher in the era of a PC for everyone. I saw a PC for every one who can afford 300 pounds.

Other winners in the annual awards contest were Nokia for best international brand, the Sony Reader for best innovation, MacBook Air for design, GTA IV for best game, and the Ego electric Street Scoota for best green gadget.
