The Xbox 360 price cuts this month have definitely spurred buyers to jump on the Xbox 360. The official UK retail monitoring chart GFK-Chart Track shows that the rise in sales has been 32%.

This rise has to be exactly what Microsoft hoped for when it cut prices on the console. The sales surge has pushed the Xbox 360 ahead of the PS3, which has seen sales drop 8%.

The new pricing started on September 19th was 129.99 (€179) for the entry-level Xbox 360 Arcade, £169.99 (€239.99) for the 60GB Xbox 360, and £229.99 (€299.99) for the 120GB Xbox 360 Elite.
