I would expect MI6 to recruit from the elite of the military and other service branches, and it probably does. However, MI6 also recruits in one method I would never think of -- Facebook. It does seem like everyone is going on social networks today.

MI6 says that it is running advertisements on Facebook as part of a broader marketing campaign. I am betting that MI6 isn’t using Facebook to recruit secret agents. After all, if you are on Facebook it's hard to be secret.

A Foreign Office spokesperson said, "The open recruitment campaign continues to target wide pools of talent representative of British society today. A number of channels are used to promote job opportunities in the organization. Facebook is a recent example."
