With Apple grabbing such a large part of the smartphone market away from the more established players it was only a matter of time until other traditionally PC making companies followed suit. HP is now back in the smartphone market with a line of iPAQ devices.

The handsets include the iPAQ Data Messenger and Voice Messenger phones. The Data Messenger has a full sliding QWERTY keyboard and a 2.8-inch touchscreen.

The Voice Messenger handset has a 2.4-inch screen that lacks the touch capability. Both handsets have HSPA, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Both run on Windows Mobile 6.1 and have 3.1MP cameras. The iPAQ handsets will be sold via Vodafone in the UK.
