Of all the gadgets in my home the one I could least live without is the DVR. I can’t imagine going back to having to watch shows when the network wants me to and enduring the hoards of commercials. Finally, Freesat viewers can get their own DVR starting next month.

Freesat will introduce a HD compatible PVR next month to directly compete against Sky. The PVR will feature a 320GB HDD that can store 80 hours of HD programming.

That is a full 50 hours more than the sky HD box can store. The PVR is dual tuner as well for recording two shows at once. The drawback is that it costs £300.
