Overclocking Championship On Intel Core I7 Announced

Tom's Hardware announced an Overdrive Overclocking Championship taking place in the United States, Germany, Taiwan, France, and Italy. The winner scores a $5,000 gift certificate to an online shop of their choice.
The overclockers will compete in the preliminary trials on Intel Core 2 Duo Desktop Processor E8600 and for the final take overclocking to the new Intel Core i7. Liquid nitrogen will be deployed to provide the maximum possible cooling effect on the components.This will be one of the first worldwide overclocking contests where the Intel Core i7 processor, Extreme Edition, will be used.
