UK mobile service provider 3 Mobile has announced that it will be launching its INQ1 smartphone, dubbed the first social smartphone. The provider promises that the handset will change the way people use Facebook on their smartphone.

The device is said to be wholly based on Facebook allowing access to services like unified contacts, Facebook chat, messaging and more. The device is a basic slider looking much like the Nokia 6500.

Connectivity is HSDPA providing a fast connection for Facebook applications. The handset will be available for GBP 99 on a pay as you go plan.
