Apple is dominating the US mobile phone market with the iPhone 3G, but some stiff competition is coming from BlackBerry with the Storm set to launch soon. One way to help the iPhone keep its lead in the mobile market is with lower prices.

While Apple hasn’t announced any official price cuts (yet) for the iPhone, Orange has taken it upon itself to slash prices for the gadget. The 8Gb iPhone can be had from Orange for €99, a price cut of €50.

The special price is limited time and is reported to be running though January. If someone on your holiday shopping list is after an iPhone, this is the time to buy it.
