Sanyo has introduced a new ultraportable projector called the PLC-XW57. The device has a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and offers 2000 ANSI lumens of brightness. Contrast ratio for the projector is 400:1 and the aspect ratio is 4:3.

Other features of the projector include a short throw lens with a 1.2x optical zoom, auto search input mode, Blackboard mode and quick start up and power off. One of the best features is the compact 13" x 3.15" x 9.3" size and weight of 6.4 pounds. Image size can be as large as 100-inches from 11 to 14 feet away.

“The compact and highly portable PLC-XW57 is a terrific tool for teachers and business executives,“ says Mark Holt, the Vice President and General Manager for SANYO’s Presentation Technologies Division. “This projector is flexible and simple to operate, projecting crisp and detailed images in the boardroom or the classroom.”
