Fortune runs a story on their blog saying that AMD is putting their hopes on strong sales during Black Friday and the Thanksgiving week.
Intel has lowered their forecast for the fourth quarter and AMD is still staying on their forecast and will apparently give another update after Black Friday.
I am not sure if sales of AMD based notebooks and Desktop PCs will be hot. The netbooks will take a huge overall bite out of the notebook segment.
With Intel already pushing another high-end platform with Core i7, prices of Intel's current platforms will also be lower and consumers might opt for Intel based systems as they are considered the stronger choice.
