Packard Bell has entered into the netbook fray, which isn't surprising considering netbooks are one of the fastest growing segments in the computer industry. The netbook is called the Dot and it is due out in January.

Specifications are exactly what you expect with 1Gb of RAM, 160GB of storage, an Intel Atom, and a five in one card reader.

The operating system is Windows XP and the little netbook has an 8.9-inch LCD and Wi-Fi. HP is said to have a version coming that offers 3G Internet connectivity as well. Pricing is unknown, but considering the specs are more of the same other brands offer, pricing should be competitive.
