Virgin mobile has announced new mobile Internet plans that make surfing the web on the go even less expensive. Virgin mobile users can get mobile Internet for as low as 30p per day, working out to £9 per month.

At these low prices access to the web is unlimited, but there are download caps of 25MB of data per day and charges for downloads over that amount will apply. This is especially bad news for users who plan to tether a device to a notebook.

Virgin says that the new pricing makes their Internet service up to three times cheaper than competitor's offerings. If you go over the 25MB, you will be charged £2 per extra megabyte.
