The massive and popular online seller of just about everything, has announced that its MP3 store is launching in the UK. The store hopes to challenge iTunes for the music buying public's money.

The store will sell some popular, chart-topping albums and artists for as little as £3. Albums and artists available at that low price include Coldplay and Kings of Leon among others. Classic albums will sell for £6 to £8.

MP3 singles will start at £0.59 to £0.79 depending on the track. All tracks sold on the store are encoded at 256 kbps and have no DRM allowing them to be moved among devices at will.
