BlackBerry fans looking for a new handset to give themselves or another loved one this holiday season will be glad to hear that the BlackBerry Curve 8900 has officially launched in the UK. The handset is also known as the Javelin and is the thinnest RIM device so far and an upgrade to the current curve.

The display boasts a 480 x 360 resolution and the processor runs at 512MHz. Other features include Wi-Fi, GPS, and a 3.2MP camera. Memory expansion is via an integrated microSD card slot.

The worst part about the Curve 8900 is the omission of 3G, come on BlackBerry what were you thinking? The headset will be widely available by Christmas via T-Mobile, Vodafone, and Carphone Warehouse.
