Ofcom has said that a fourth new HD channel is coming to terrestrial TV in 2010. In July of 2010, the station will be added after the UK digital transition occurs. BBC, ITV, and Channel 4 will be on the terrestrial HD broadcast starting next march.

Full rollout of the new services won't be complete until 2012 though. Ofcom says that it is satisfied that it will be able to access enough bandwidth to support a forth HD broadcast.

Applications to use the fourth public service HD channel will be taken until February 19 of 2009. Channels eligible to apply include Five, ITV, Channel4, S4C, and Teletext.
