Mobile web browsing is increasing in the UK and other countries with pages viewed on mobile devices doubling since January 2008. The top ranked website is Google with Facebook sitting in the number two spot with mobile surfers in the UK.

The usage of the mobile Internet is growing in areas where notebook and PC penetration are high such as the UK, Europe, and the US. Mobile web browsing is also growing in developing nations.

“It is growing because consumers are used to having ubiquitous access to the web and expect to have it whenever they are,” said Jon Tetzchner, the company's chief executive.
