Sony had a bit of a slip up on its website recently when a spec sheet for an unannounced P Series Vaio sure to be the firm’s first netbook was live for a short time on Christmas day. The page has since been pulled and hasn’t returned.

What we found when the page was live showed an 8-inch backlit screen with a crazy resolution of 1600 x 768, if the page was accurate. There was lots of placeholder figures listed so that resolution could well be a placeholder or simply something typed in at random.

ITProPortal reports that the machine has tipped up on a US FCC filing and will be sized at about 22cm x 11cm and will have a decently sized keyboard. Here’s hoping they make the shift key on the right side correctly, not like Asus does with the Eee.
