CES 2009 is a hot bed for new product launches and some of the gear gets detailed before the show actually starts. Voodoo, the boutique gaming PC maker purchased by HP in 2006, has a new notebook that will be on display at the show called the Firefly.

The system is called the HP Firefly with Voodoo DNA and offers a multi-touch touchpad, dual displays, and serious gaming prowess. The dual displays aren’t along the lines of the Lenovo W700ds we have been talking about.

Rather the dual screen action puts a small screen under the main LCD on the notebook lid. The main screen is 17-inches, the secondary is 4.3-inches, and the notebook as a whole weighs 13 pounds. The multi-touch track pad is located to the right of the keyboard, exactly where you would place a mouse. That might look weird, but it should prove more comfortable in use.
