Don't Miss: This How to find Fingerlings in Stock

We reported yesterday already that the CES organizers approached Macworld exhibitors to join CES 2010 next year instead of Macworld 2010. Apple Insider reports now that their sources tell them that Apple plans to attend CES 2010.
For CES this would be a major coup, one they badly need as the show is on its down turn right now. Apple's CES attendance would stir things up quite a bit and directly compete with Microsoft on the OS front, with all mobile handset makers on the smartphone front, with all PC and notebook makers on the computer front and with all media player makers - it would be fun! Right now I am actually not planning to attend CES 2010 and sending a reporter there again as our CES 2009 attendance does not pay off. Most companies have announced their new products ahead of the show in great details and the exhibition exclusives are few and far between.
I also wonder if it made sense for Palm to unveil their Palm Pre and webOS at the CES and not make their own event like Apple does. Palm still managed to score one of the top CES highlights with the Pre, but hey there have been no other cool smartphone announcement at all at CES 2009.

If Apple would announce a big showing at CES 2010, I would definitely reconsider and be in Vegas again with I4U News like every year over the past 6 years. We already reduced our investment in CES coverage quite a bit over the last two years. In 2006 still we had video crews in Vegas with Nikki Cash, the hottest video host imaginable. Those days are long gone.
