When it comes to mobile broadband, everyone wants more, no matter what part of the world you call home. We want faster speeds, more data, more "fair use" limits, really just more of everything. Vodafone's latest mobile broadband service has hit an impressive speed in trials.

The new HSPA+ standard has been tested and found to reach speeds of up to 16Mb/sec. Vodafone says that the new service will provide downloads of about 13Mb/sec in good reception areas and that speeds will drop to 4MB/sec in typical cell locations.

The fastest speed Vodafone offered on its older HSDPA connections was 7.2MB/sec, so the faster speeds are a huge improvement. HSPA+ uses MIMO to achieve the significantly improved data speeds.
