You might think that sharing brands and logos between the various branches of Sony would be something that is a given. You would be wrong on that. Reports are coming in that Sony has refused to allow Sony Ericsson to brand a new cell phone with the PSP logo.

Sony has previously allowed cell phones to be branded with the Cyber-shot and Bravia logos. The cell phone arm of the electronics firm even pitched the Sony board and was denied the use of the logo.

Honestly, if the phone is cool and plays video games well, does it really matter if it has the PSP logo? Perhaps they can lobby Nintendo instead and brand the phone the DS Phone; it would probably sell better then anyway.
