Microsoft is working hard on Windows 7 in an attempt to launch the new OS and erase all the bad memories of Vista from the minds of consumers. Images have leaked online of the next Office application, which some may have expected this year along with Windows 7.

Steve Ballmer now says that there will be no new Office application until 2010. Ballmer simply said Office 14 would not be this year. If you hate Office 2007 as much as Vista, you will have to keep using Office for a while yet.

Honestly, Office 2007 isn’t that bad once you get used to the new ribbon layout. The biggest pain is that you have to remember to save files for compatibility with all other versions if others are using older versions of the software.
