Buy This Now On Amazon

Amazon started to ship Kindle 2 on Monday. If you are curious what kind of components are hiding under the covers, you can see photos of a Kindle 2 dissection on iFixit.
Of course there is the electronic paper screen, which does not need power to display the last information, which Amazon uses to display the initial setup instruction.
Kindle 2 runs on FreeScale CPU and has 2GB of Samsung RAM.I wonder if they got the Kindle 2 back together again. More photos of the Kindle 2 insides can be found on iFixit Via Gizmodo. Kindle 2 sells for $359 on despite being featured last night at The Daily Show.
