Anytime a new Halo game is set to launch on the Xbox 360 you can bet that it will be a hit and launch events for the game will be held. GameStop has announced that it will be hosting midnight launch events at many of its locations around the country on March 2nd starting at 10pm for the launch of Halo Wars.

The game retailer says that among the events being held will be Halo 3 tournaments, warthog races, character dress up contests and trivia challenges. GameStop also says that those attending will get a chance to score removable Halo skins for their console.

The company isn't clear on if the skins will be giveaway items or if they are items that must be purchased. GameStop says that most stores will begin events at 10pm, but says gamers wanting to participate should call their local store.
