Microsoft Announces Productivity Services Online

Microsoft has announced new online versions of certain Office products including Exchange, SharePoint, Office Live Meeting, and Office Communications. Business in the UK can now subscribe online to get access to these applications rather than having to buy and install copies on each machine in the company.

In all the applications are known and the Business Productivity Online Suite and are available starting today for testing and will be available commercially in April. Customers who sign up after the launch of the service will be allowed a 30-day free trial.

Access to the suite will cost companies £10.04 per month for each user. Exchange Online will offer users 5GB of shared storage for email. Exchange Online and SharePoint can get expanded storage space online for £1.67 per month per gigabyte of additional storage.
