The iPhone App Byki teaches users Irish and will be offered for free on St. Patrick's Day. After the free day the app will retail for $7.99 for the first 30 days and then $9.99 permanently. The app is loaded with over 1,000 words and phrases.

Some of the words and phrases are special for St. Patrick's Day. I bet give me a green beer is one of the phrases for the day. Every word and phrase on the application has a native speaker sounding it out for you.

Audio can be slowed down to allow you to learn pronunciation as well. If learning Irish isn't your thing, the application is available in French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, and Portuguese as well.
