NVIDIA has a yearly gathering called NVISION that highlights all aspects around their products. Last year they had stars like the guys from Mythbusters or Galactica star Tricia Helfer to spice up the tech show. Now Digitimes reports that NVIDIA is canceling NVISION 09 which was planned for sometime in the 3rd Quarter.

The reason NVIDIA cancelled the show? You guessed it, is the recession. Digitimes says that NVIDIA will still do smaller events this year.
Apple already went the route of small events and at the end of the day we might be just looking at the CES as the last big tech show standing. It will be interesting to see how E3 Expo 2009 pans out in June.
