The Dell Adamo was one of the slickest looking machines at CES 2009 and was the Dell version of the svelte MacBook Air. The comparisons to the Air are mostly based on looks, as the specs of the machine are not as thin and interesting as the Apple offering.

The Adamo measure 331 x 242 x 16mm and uses a 13.4-inch screen and can display 720p HD video. The machine uses Intel's Mobile 965 Express chipset with GMA X4500 integrated graphics. The CPU for the machine is a 1.2GHz or 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.

Dell uses 2GB of DDR3 RAM and a 128GB SSD for storage. The system lacks an optical drive. Dell claims battery life is around five hours and the notebook is set to ship on March 26th. The catch is that reports say the system is nearly a pound heavier than the MacBook Air. Retail price for the UK will be around £1649.
