Google has offered Street View in the U.S. for a while now. The service takes a specially outfitted car and drives down roads to give the user of its mapping service the view of actually driving down the street.

Google has now launched Street View in the UK. So far, Google offers Street View for 25 cities in the UK. The search giant is adding a Report a Concern button for users who want images of their home removed.

In the U.S. Street View was criticized for showing images of homes, cars, people, and other identifiable information on the mapping service. The U.S. government also fought Google over showing Street View maps in and around military installations.
