At CES 2009 Asus was showing off its folding laptop concept. The machine looked cool and had a unique and innovative design. Asus has now said that the notebook will be debuting this October.

The idea behind the concept is that the notebook would be able to fold into a compact shape and unfold so that it is flat. Users could adjust the angle of the keyboard by folding or unfolding the notebook.

Asus CEO Jerry Shen told TechRadar that it would be debuting the notebook in the second half of 2009. Asus sees the machine as forging a new category like the MacBook Air did. The machine is expected to sell for $1000 to $1500.
