QNAP has launched what it claims to be the world's first 1-bay and 2-bay NAS devices attaching to the iSCSI interface. The two products are the TS-219 Turbo NAS and the TS-119. Both models share the same black diamond design and are intended for the home or SOHO environments.

Both machines are powered by a 1.2GHz CPU and have 512MB of DDRII RAM. The devices support iSCSI target service for up to 8 devices, online RAID capacity expansion, and online RAID level migration on the dual bay model.

The TS-119 supports 2TB SATA HDDs and the total capacity can be expanded to 4TB by eSATA or USB. The TS-219 supports a pair of hot swappable drives up to 4TB with RAID 1, online RAID 0 Capacity Expansion, and Online RAID Level migration. The devices both use an AJAX web interface that is like CoverFlow.
