A new report has found that owners of the iPhone are more likely to use the device to access email, news, and social networking than owners of other smartphones. The report came from comScore and looked at iPhone use in the UK.

According to the reports, 79.7% of iPhone users accessed news and info on the web and 75.4% sent email with the device. The broader smartphone market sees just 48% of users accessing the web and 35.4% using email.

One analysts says that the numbers could be inflated due to the large amount of early adapters that are more connected than users of other smartphones. It could also be because the glut of other smartphones on the market are devices that are simply harder to use.
