Online auction site eBay has launched its own customized version of Internet Explorer 8. The browser has a number of add-ons for eBay installed automatically allowing users to search the auction site and stay updated with bids.

Knowing how eBay operates, I wonder if it charges you money for coming and going as well. Among the add-ons is a visual search option, Accelerator, and web slice. Accelerator allows right click functionality on web text.

Presumably, so you can find products being sold on eBay relating to the chosen words. I can’t say that I have seen many custom versions of Internet Explorer recently; they used to be common with each ISP having a custom browser.
