Facebook Campaign to catch Rapist

The fiancé of a young woman that was raped after a night out in Manchester has set up a facebook group in attempt to catch her attacker.
The 20 year old woman was found by the police shaking in undergrowth after she was attacked in the city on 3rd August 2008. 6,000 people have joined the group since it was set up on the social networking site and a spokesman for the police said it “supported the essence” of the Facebook campaign.

The CCTV image of the suspect was taken outside a local pub on the day of the attack. The victims partner wrote on Facebook “This group does not tolerate vigilante action in anway shape or form. It is not a witch hunt, this is purely a way of getting this photo out to people who may know him”
