Sony Ericsson warned about the Q1 loss in March. Today the mobile phone maker published the cold hard numbers of the past Quarter and announces yet another round of lay-offs.
The company announced a loss of 293m Euro for the quarter. The same quarter a year ago Sony Ericsson still had positive earnings of 133m.
Sony Ericsson shipped 14.5 million units, a decrease of 35% compared to the same period of last year.
To counter the losses Sony Ericsson decided to cut another 2,000 employees world-wide. The company already cut 2,000 earlier this year.
