Apple approved an app for the iPhone and iPod touch this week that made a game of shaking crying babies until the cartoon babies died. The uproar over the game was swift and Apple has pulled it from the app store.

Apple has said thanks to customers for informing them of the App and has apologized for approving the app in the first place. What I don't get is how the app got through to approval to begin with.

Apple was quick in banning the shaking boob app that animated the breasts of women in images on the phone, why would someone working approvals for the App Store have thought the baby app was a good idea.
