It seems a bit off that Virgin trains are getting broadband from T-mobile when Virgin owns its own mobile broadband service. The new Virgin Train service will offer T-Mobile HotSpot service on the Pendolinoi trains.

The network will provide high-speed data access on the West Coast line that will keep passengers connected even in tunnels. The network is a partnership between T-Mobile and Nomad Digital.

The service isn’t cheap, unless you are riding in first class where it's free. All other passengers need to pay a whopping £5 for one hour or £10 for a day pass. T-Mobile Mobile Broadband customers will get access free as well.
