When it first launched the T-Mobile G1 was plagued by some bugs and other issues with the new Android OS that it sported. It took a while, but patches and fixes were offered eventually for most of the bugs.

The next update for Android is set to be rolled out to G1 users in May called Cupcake 1.5. The update has been available already, but in May it will be pushed out via the automatic download delivery service inside the G1.

Among the fixes are enhanced GPS locations, user interface improvements for the web browser, email client, calendar, and contacts. T-Mobile also says that it is getting ready to launch another handset running Android this year, as are other providers.
