EA announced today that the Spore universe has now had over 100 million creatures designed and uploaded since the game launched in September 2008. The average number of creatures made and uploaded each day is 307,000. EA says that 31,017,761 of the items in the Spore universe are creatures.

EA is getting ready to launch the first expansion pack to Spore called Galactic Adventures that will let players create their own space captain and custom missions that can be shared with other players online.

The Nintendo Wii will get its own version of Spore called Spore Hero and the Nintendo DS will get Spore Hero Arena. Galactic Adventures will launch on June 23rd with Spore Hero coming in the fall of 2009. Spore is a fantastic, family friendly game that kids will enjoy too.
