Apple banned an update to the NIN application on the grounds that the lyrics in a song the app streams from the Internet were explicit. The denial of the update led NIN's Trent Reznor to launch a tirade against Apple for not allowing the update.

Apple has now agreed to allow the update for the application and according to Reznor; the application is unchanged from its original form that was denied.

Apple also refused to allow and update to the Twitter application based on it providing access to objectionable language online.
