First we had the app store from Apple and now we seem to be seeing everybody wanting to open their own app store. Nokia, Blackberry, Microsoft and now it's the turn of The Carphone Warehouse as they launch SnappLife.

SnappLife will be compatible with Symbian and Windows Mobile handsets and will be open to developers to create their own applications and put them in the store. Some free apps that will be available are Sky News, Sky Sports, Twitter, WeaherBug and Finance.Facebook users will be pleased to hear that yo can download and install widgets on your phone for quick access you can also install widgets for Google and Google maps. There are so many app stores out there now i hope there is enough of a market to support them all. If you would like to try SnappLife you can sign up in your local Carphone Warehouse store or go to or you can text "snapp" to 64246.
