THQ and Disney Interactive Studios will be debuting a new racing game based on the Pixar Cars franchise. The game is called Cars Race-O-Rama and it will ship in the fall of 2009 for the Wii, Xbox, PS3, PSP, PS2, and DS.

The game lets players join Lightning McQueen and chick hicks in Radiator Springs to prepare student racers to compete in Race-O-Rama. The game offers players 12 new playable characters and an improved Lightning McQueen with special racing kits for different race environments including off-road.

The game also lets players perform special maneuvers for reporters during a race. Cars is still a wildly popular movie for kids and the game should be fun for the whole family. The game will also feature mini-games based on the Cars Toons animated shorts aired on the Disney Channel.
