The smallest of the major UK mobile providers 3 has announced a new contract called SIM Zero that requires only a month commitment and offers users the ability to make free Skype calls all for £0 monthly.

The plan lets users make free Skype-to-Skype calls and IMs along with free Windows Live Messenger and Free voice mail in the UK. The contract doesn't include a mobile phone.

Users will be charged on a per call or text basis at a rate of 20p per minute regardless of the network or the time the call is placed. Texts will cost 10p each.
