One of the big reasons for the current supremacy of BlackBerry in the smartphone market is Verizon's buy-one-get-one-free BlackBerry deal. It's gotten a lot of people to buy RIM's smartphones, but apparently it's been slightly less profitable for VZW. They're putting an end to what might be their best known promotion on June 27th.

Until then, however, the offer still stands. When the BlackBerry Pearl Flip hits on June 19th you'll have a few days to take advantage of Verizon's awesome deal before it ends. And that's not all! Boy Genius says that, as soon as the old promotion ends, a new one is starting up that's only slightly less awesome. When the old deal ends, VZW will start discounting all BlackBerry smartphones by $50.

That's not quite as awesome a deal as the current one, but it's not half bad either. That, combined with the launch of the Tour, should guarantee RIM's domination of the smartphone market for the forseeable future. Or at least until Apple's exclusivity agreement ends and the iPhone goes everywhere.
