Audio-Technica has announced a new and improved set of active noise-canceling headphones called the ATH-ANC7b headphone. The new version has the same 85% noise-cancellation improvements the previous models offered but have better sound quality.

The headphones claim to deliver superior audio with smoother and natural balance and high-resolution sound with deep bass. The earcups were redesigned for more comfort and are padded for more comfortable wear.

The headphones come with a 1.6m cable and a 1m cable that detach and are compatible with iPhone and iPod models as well as other MP3 players, laptops, and DVD players. The headphones have 40mm drivers and the noise canceling features can be turned off. MSRP for the headphones is $219.95 and they will be available in August.
