Samsung Unveils New Notebook PCs

Samsung has announced a few new additions to its line of portable computers with five new models for the X and R series notebooks along with N series netbooks. The X series line includes 14.1-inch ultra-thin and light X460 with the first 2950mAh 6-cell battery for 10 hours of continuous use. The notebook also features fingerprint authentication and a trusted platform authentication system.

The R series notebook line features the Samsung R420 and the R470 come with a 14-inch LED backlit LCD. The two machines have a watertight seal around the chassis to prevent liquids from getting inside if spilled.

The N-series netbook line has the N120 and the N310 featuring HSPA, WiMAX, and WiBro offering over 10 hours of battery life and larger ergonomic keyboards. Pricing on the new machines is unknown as is availability.
