OS X 10.5.8 may be ready to release in the next few days. It's been confirmed that developer build 9L30 was seeded by Apple last night. There was only one documented change, due to an issue caused by external monitors waking from sleep. The lack of any other outstanding issues means that this version of OS X is getting close to done.
We probably still have one more update to go before OS X Snow Leopard is released next September. Mac users, your wait is nearly over.
